Junkyard Dolls are a US-based rockabilly band who came to me for a full brand refresh, along with artwork for two upcoming singles.
For the logo, they wanted something rooted in pulp horror with heavy nods to classic ’80s slasher films. I explored a range of concepts built around a sinister killer doll, somewhere between a vintage toy and the unhinged cousin of Chucky. The final direction captured that mix of menace, and rockabilly attitude that defines the band’s sound.

The two singles needed their own distinct visual identities while staying true to the band’s retro aesthetic.
Shotgun Suzie was exactly what it sounds like: a bold, tongue-in-cheek illustration of Suzie herself armed with a shotgun. Sometimes the most direct idea is the strongest one.

For Wildflower, I leaned into classic tattoo culture, building an illustration that felt like it had been ripped straight from the wall of an old-school parlour, equal parts Americana, grit, and rockabilly attitude.
Together, the logo and single artwork helped establish a stronger, more cohesive visual identity for the band. One that feels as loud, rebellious, and characterful as their music.
